According to IHS, almost 90% of US Smart TV owners said, that they have internet connection on their Smart TV set.
80% of them have use the access to OTT services.
75% of these owners also own a smartphone and 65% a tablet computer. Those are creating opportunity for second screen applications, with which they can discover more content, share with friends, use the remote control application, … said IHS.
“The study also revealed that some 73% of US consumers said that they are not interested in buying a smart TV in the next 12 months.”
